roland@thinkbold.com Roland R. Ackermann, based in Munich, began his career as an engineer (Dipl.-Ing.) in 1956 and soon became a technical journalist. He was the editor of several professional papers including Elektronik Entwicklung, Elektronik Journal, Markt & Technik, Electronic Embedded Systeme and verlagsweltMAGAZIN, and also served as publishing director and publisher of the corresponding publishing houses. Roland also hosted weekly radio programs „Der Technische Report“ (Bavarian Broadcasting Company) for two years, and organized, directed and moderated numerous events and panel discussions (e.g., the Electronica Forum, ISS, MEDEA+, SAME, Galileo Masters, EMC Exhibition, Open Source Meets Business Congress).
